Our New Website is Live: Here's What's Changing and Why

Today marks the launch of our brand new website. It's been rebuilt from the ground up on a new, even more secure foundation, with stylish user interface upgrades and operation-enhancing features. While the products and services you rely on haven't changed, the experience of managing your account and placing orders with us has, for the better.  

This redevelopment is about making it easier for you to do business with us. Our new website now offers new features providing faster ordering, greater control over your account, and a platform we can keep improving for years to come. This is an exciting development in the story of Supertouch, and we are excited to be bringing you, our customers, along on the journey with us as we mark our 30th anniversary of trading. 

Faster, smarter ordering

With the new website, we wanted to make sure that placing orders, especially larger or repeat ones, can be done with minimal friction. The new ordering grid makes it quicker to find what you need and add multiple items to your basket in one go, with product codes shown clearly on every line, each item is easy to identify and order. In addition, you can now quickly and smoothly build lists of favourited items, these favourite lists can be used for your regular orders or be created for each of your customers’ regular orders. You now have the ability to create multiple favourite lists, meaning that all your regularly ordered items are always just a click away. 

The website search function has had an overhaul too. You can now find products by title, SKU, product code or line group code, and even a partial code will bring back accurate suggestions, so you don't need to have the exact reference to hand. 

More control over your account and payments

Managing your account should be straightforward, so we've put more of that control directly in your hands. As the main account holder, you can now create and manage sub-users and their permissions to decide who can place orders, view account information, and who has visibility over invoices and payments. 

Payments are more flexible too. You can top up your balance for any amount, rather than being limited to whole-pound values, and the same feature lets you make payments through the portal directly. Invoices are also visible online, so you can check payment status and settle specific invoices, or your full balance, in a clear and transparent way. Checkout is now quicker, with Google Pay and Apple Pay available where supported in addition to your Supertouch credit terms. 

Better tools for your own website

If you use our stock or product data on your own website, there's good news. Our stock feed now updates every 15 minutes, so the availability you show your customers is more accurate and reliable. If you don’t currently have this set up and would like to, just get in touch. 

You can also now download product images directly from individual product pages, just look below the image block on any product listing, and you will see the ‘download images’ link. We are making it quicker and easier to keep your own site, CMS or ecommerce platform up to date. 

In addition to our collaboration features, we are now offering the ability to place orders via EDI so your ERP system can talk directly to ours, meaning automation can carry the heavy lifting, giving you more time to focus on your daily operations, knowing your order processing is taken care of. Customers are already taking advantage of this automated and frictionless process. If you would also like this capability, just let us know. 

We're not stopping here

This launch is a first major step in our efforts of digital redevelopment, and it does not stop here. We'll keep developing the platform, and there are more improvements already planned to keep bringing you the features that make it easier and faster for your business operations.
